1998 Panzerhalle Exchange and Exhibition

During the late summer and autumn of 1998, artists based in Scotland and Berlin are participating in an exchange project. This is mainly self-organised and financed, although some financial support has been provided by the British Council and some German institutions.

Scottish artists working at the Panzerhalle	The nine artists from Scotland worked at the Panzerhalle (see picture) in Brandenburg, Berlin, preparing an exhibition there, which ran from 28th August to 6th September. It was featured on the TV programme Brandenburg Aktuell on Sunday 30th August. The reciprocal exhibition by the Berlin-based artists will open at the Edinburgh WASPS' Patriothall Gallery, running from 19th-27th September. There will be artists' talks in the gallery at 2pm on Saturday 19th and 26th September. The exhibition will then move on to the foyer space at the MacRobert Centre in Stirling University.
