There is no Gaidhlig label on Wikidata for tower house (Q91312). These exist across the landscape, so I thought an appropriate label would be an easy improvement, but am not finding a specific term. Nor do I want to invent something like "tùr-thaigh" without evidence of actual use.
Ireland has "túrtheach", but that doesn't come across to my copy of Dwelly's dictionary. Dwelly does have "borg" (tower, village, house) but that seems more for iron age brochs. Similar in Am Faclair Beag.
Only a couple have gd.wiki articles (Caisteal Chiosmuil, Caisteal Ros Saidhe), and their texts aren't giving better than "caisteal" which seems too inexact.
This leaves the question of whether there is a verifiable name for a tower house.
