Creating an on-this-day Mastodon post to highlight the loss of an area service (usually associated with the Beeching cuts) has needed additional activity to extract information held in Wikipedia and port it as data to Wikidata, using Quickstatements.
The BOT won't really start producing anything until September. It appears the station closures avoided the summer months - which must have been something of a relief for anyone taking a holiday (for example to Portpatrick or to the Fife coast) and relying on the rail service.
